Individual onboarding process

Before you begin, you can save time by getting the following documents and information ready upfront. Check your inbox for an email from “XBTO Stablehouse”, titled “Continue your account opening journey with XBTO Stablehouse”. This email contains the link to begin your onboarding. 

  • ONE Proof of Identity (any of the following):
    • Driver's license
    • Residence permit
    • Government-issued ID card
    • Passport (with photo and signature)
  • ONE Proof of Address (any of the following):
    • Utility bills (no older than 3 months)
    • Internet/cable TV/house phone line bills (no older than 3 months)
    • Bank statements (no older than 3 months)
    • Government-issued certificate of residence
  • ONE live selfie through the app
  • Source of funds: your bank, bank address, account number, OR other funding sources such as a digital wallet or name of exchange.
  • Additionally, all individuals will be asked to inform their intended activity on the platform, as well as read and acknowledge:
    • Risk disclosure statement
    • Master trade agreement
    • Self-declaration
    • Terms of use
  • All progress will be automatically saved. At the end of the onboarding, you will be asked to review your answers and submit them. The application is only complete once all sections have been successfully completed.

What are the acceptable forms of Proof of Identity?

Acceptable forms of ID:

    • Driver's license
    • Residence permit
    • Government-issued ID card
    • Passport (with photo and signature)

We do not accept:

    • Photos or scans of a computer monitor
    • Failing to submit both sides of an ID
    • ID without photo
    • ID without signature

What are the acceptable forms of Proof of Address?

Acceptable proof of address:

    • Utility bills (no older than 3 months)
    • Internet/cable TV/house phone line bills (no older than 3 months)
    • Bank statements (no older than 3 months)
    • Government-issued certificate of residence (no older than 3 months)

We do not accept:

    • Scans or photos of a screen
    • Redacted (artificially blurred or blacked out) documents
    • Documents over 3 months old
    • Mobile phone bills (unless packaged with other fixed address utilities)
    • Medical or Insurance statements
    • Purchase receipts

What happens if I submit an unacceptable document?

Our compliance team will review all submissions. Missing, incomplete, incorrect information or documentation or altered documentation will be flagged, delaying your application as we must request additional information.


How do I submit the proof of life selfie?

When you come to the portion of the application requesting a selfie, you may use your computer camera or a camera phone. A link will be provided to easily continue on your phone and switch back to your computer afterwards.
